"Phishing Voicemail: i just received a phishing voicemail. Should I report this to you?"

-------

No. Personal Info would be provided, if done so.

Report this to Apple:

Do you have a transcript of the voicemail message from the Phone app? If so, you can take a screenshot, use select to get this info from the Photos, and then report the contents. Report it to those who apply, from Apple and other organizations, and most certian to your Federal Government (FTC and IC3). Provide the screenshot and the URL of this thread. Use my User: Using the Photos App to Report Scams - User Tip

The best defense is to allow all calls to Voicemail where you have the opportunity to screen calls.

If the caller does not address you by your name, then it is most likely a scam.

Simply block, report and delete the message.

Many scammers spoof phone numbers, so the sender you are blocking could be unaffected by your actions.

Important:
If you receive a suspicious email or SMS text message that looks like it’s supposed to be from Apple, please email it to reportphishing@apple.com.

Good luck! 👋🏼😉

The only notable thing here seems to be having gotten just one of these messages.

Most of us are awash in these.

Probably 10% of my calls are legitimate.

The rest are spam, scams, and phishing.

iOS 26 adds call screening support, which might help. Somewhat. Maybe.

Scammers are nothing if not persistent. And inventive.
