How to resolve a pending subscription charge on Apple ID to restore App Store access?

My Apple ID is blocked from downloading apps because of a pending subscription charge. The Toko app started a yearly subscription without my consent, payment failed, and now my account shows a billing problem. The subscription is expired, but my account is still locked. Please clear the pending charge and restore my App Store access.

You consented to the subscription when you downloaded the app and then did not cancel the trial in time. This is a common mistake and a lesson in learning to read things before clicking in agreement. You will now have to pay for the subscription (yes, even if you never used it). You can try to ask for a refund but those are not guaranteed (and if you let the subscription run out then your chances are diminished).
