Synced songs won’t play in my playlist

I am able to sync songs from ITunes to my phone. However, certain songs won’t play. They show in my playlist, NOT greyed out, but simply won’t play. In addition, these are songs that have been used previously without problem.

I spent 2 hours with tech support who was unable to diagnose the problem. They did help me through an involved process to delete, redownload etc. which had to be done on each song that would not play.

has anyone had this happen? I’ve been syncing for many years but never encountered this issue. I have to go through every somg on my playlist to be sure it will play

I've had stuff like this happen on and off to me for the past 5 or so years. My steps that seem to work...

1- Delete the songs off the phone, if possible.

2-Select the songs in iTunes that won't play on your phone. Select "song info" and something to the comments. Whatever is irrelevant, just something to get it to "update" the track(s) in question.

3-Re-sync iTunes and your phone. The songs should get back on there in one piece.

4-If desired, delete the comments and re-sync again. The comments don't need to stay for the fix to work.

This has seemingly been a fix for most anyone having this problem.

Thank you for the reply. I tried this as I saw from several people. Unfortunately, it didn't work.

I may try again just to see what happens!
