How to select multiple contacts for deletion on iPhone 15?

I have the 15. Recently, I somehow lost all my contacts. My firm’s IT contractor tried to help but added everyone who’d ever emailed my business address— 5000 or so contacts— but NOT most of my personal contacts! I just retired and want to delete almost all those biz contacts.

Before I delete them all and load back the ones I want, Is there a way to ‘Select’ those I want to keep as I scroll down through all 5000 contacts? Instead of deleting one at a time? Thanks.

So the trick is to swipe 2 fingers to select as many contacts as you want,

Once you select the desired contacts, you can press and hold at any highlighted area to get a bunch of different options,

choose Delete Contacts

What account are your contacts synced to? Depending on what the account is, you may be able to log in through the web interface and delete them there.

Or, if the contacts are synced to a Mac, you can do multiple selections in the Contacts app. Command-click will give you non-contiguous selections.

Thanks, Idris. I found that almost all the contacts are in a iCloud list. I don’t have a Mac. Can you tell me the navigation path to the page on apple.com where I can delete all 13,000 with one click? I appreciate your help.

icloud.com (NOT apple.com) and then login. Finding the Contact should be obvious from there.
