Should I use automatic or manual DNS?
I have an option to choose a DNS either automatically or not…. Wondering if I were to choose ONE which one should I use? I use an iPhone 16 pro max

That depends entirely on your requirements.
You would use manual if you need to enter specific DNS servers. Some like to use Google's DNS or OpenDNS servers since they are faster than the normal ISP servers in many cases. Or you need to enter your office or school dns servers.
Outside of that, only you can know whether you need automatic or manual. If you don't know, it's better to just leave it as automatic.
