How to always show the function browser

Numbers only shows the function browser when the user is actively editing, or when the cell already contains a formula. If there’s no active cell, Numbers has nothing to attach the browser to, so it hides it. Numbers treats formulas as cell only tools. Unfortunately there is no way to keep the guide open at all times and there is no PDF-style or offline formulas and functions guide. Is there a reason you want it to be open all the time?

I suppose for a short time, while 14.5 and 15.1 have all the same functions, you can open 14.5 and use it to look at the available functions while you use 15.1.
