Apple TV 4K remote not turning on/off new Vizio TV

I just purchased a new Vizio quantum mini LED TV and connected my Apple TV 4K to it. This TV replaced a different Vizio TV that was a couple years old. my Apple TV remote worked perfectly with that older model. That said, the Apple TV remote will not turn on or off the Vizio TV as it did, my old TV. I have reset the remote. I have rebooted the Apple TV. The CEC function on the TV is turned on and the HDMI cable is connected properly. I’ve tried the learn remote function, but it doesn’t detect the new Vizio remote. I’ve searched extensively online and have yet to find an answer to my issue. I’ve reset my TV. I’ve reset my Apple TV. The remote is charged. I’m at a loss.
