How do I fix a persistent scheduled downtime glitch on iPhone?

I attempted to turn on downtime two weeks ago and was met with a glitch where it shows downtime is off but won’t let me edit the schedule. Ever since then it automatically turns on based on the original schedule and I can’t turn scheduled downtime off. It is beyond frustrating.

Go to Settings > Screen Time > Turn Off Screen Time. This disables all restrictions. After restarting, you can re-enable Screen Time and set Downtime again.

Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary software glitches. Turn off your iPhone, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.

  1. Restart the device. That's it.
  2. Still not solved --> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

"Mine is still doing exactly this, no matter what I do. Video of glitch on YouTube . I cannot ‘open’ the scheduled section and it won’t let me edit it, so everyday it turns itself on again."

Persisten Downtome Glitch:

A. Force Restart:

So, have you preformed a Force Restart? Go Here: Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

B. Update your iPhone:

What is the iOS version installed on your Mac? Go to: Settings > General > About. If not iOS 26.4, I'd encourage you to do so. Then, once installed backup your iPhone to a computer (Mac or PC). You may vis able to update ua Cellular or through your computer. See my User Tips:
