New apple update has rendered my brand new iPad unusable.

After updating my iPad to the new iOS 26 update, most if all my apps are not working anymore and my safari has me on safeserch and iv tried everything to fix it. When opening YouTube it says “something went wrong try again.” Iv tried resetting my iPad, deleting the app and downloading it again, offloading it, everything, and nothing is working. Same thing happens with the rest of my apps, nothing is working anymore after update. Is there a way to fix this. I’m genuinely very upset about this as this is not the first time my devise has countered irreversible issues with a new update that then forces me to buy a different device again.

I would add if you have a 3rd party VPN installed, even if you are not using it, delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN, then restart your device. Don't just turn it off; delete the profile. Updates sometimes need to have VPN to be removed and reinstalled. If that fixes it, you can try reinstalling VPN, but probably shouldn't.
