iPad reset issue: iOS version & old Apple ID

I am trying to reset my old iPad to give to my grandmother who is now in a home, i haven't used the iPad for a number of years but i cant reset because it says my account requires iOS 11.3 or later and the email is an old work one I no longer have access to.
