How do I fix Google Drive offline issue and intermittent internet connection on MacBook M4?

Hi I have a problem,

everytime I go to Google Drive and want to upload a video, Google Drive tells me after a while that it is offline. I can't turn anything on at all, YouTube or any other website doesn't work, nothing will load and I have to restart my MacBook. The internet just drops out and doesn't work, but I still see the wifi icon saying it is connected. I have to restart my MacBook to get the internet working again. I have a MacBook connected via ethernet, nothing like this ever happens to me and I don't know what to do. I'm a video editor and I need to upload videos, my MacBook suddenly started doing this, I don't know what to do.

Wifi should always be ON for local device(s) connection as well as BlueTooth for Continuity features/ hand off/ location triangulation etc—yes It may be ON but that does not mean connected if there is no wireless Network.

Try one or the other and compare your results if there is a conflict somehow.

With that said—

What does that have to do with your hard wired Ethernet connection...? Seems the question

Ethernet from a Modem(?) modem Issue?

The Ethernet cable issue(?) has a fault?

Is there a Ethernet port on your Mac or there is an adapter involved(?) Port issue or Adapter issue?

Internet Provider issue/cabling coming into the house before the modem issue(?) Provider issue?

What happens if turn off the Ethernet and get on a different Network, Some WiFi Network to by pass all the hardware associated with the Ethernet...if that is the iisue

You can run the User Diagnostics to test your Mac for hardware issues, see if it kicks out an error code

Codes:

In or out of warranty you can get a free over the counter 'Apple Service Diagnostics' test /assessment

Make an appointment for a "hardware issue"

If there is a VPN involved— Uninstall it and compare your results.

When you have your own Router with WiFi AND an Ethernet cable connection to your Router, only ONE of those connections will be used to send dat to the Internet.

if you have an Ethernet connection, it will NOT be used for internet traffic unless you make it TOPMOST.

System Settings > Network ...

Data going to the Internet is always one to the TOPMOST, Working, interface shown in that pane.

On that pane, use the additional settings icon [ ...ˇ ] to choose "Set Service Order" and drag Ethernet to the TOP. This will not need to be changed again because at the coffee shop, Ethernet will not be Working, so Wi-Fi will be used instead.

¿Once Ethernet is set as TOPMOST, does it show as 'Connected'?

¿Does Wi-Fi also show as 'Connected'?

¿what do you get for internet speed test data rate?
