Just updated my iPad Pro 13 to iOS 26 and found something strange. I was watching a video on X and at the end, I hit the return arrow in the top left corner which always returns you to the post you were reading before. However, it does nothing! Tried this on a number of posts and I still can never go back. Here's a screenshot:
What am I missing here?

I’m having the same issue with my iPad and I don’t think it’s “X” as some are saying. The back arrow doesn’t work in the horizontal, but works once i turn my ipad vertical. The reason i don’t think it’s X is I am having another problem with mail. I cannot do a search because the magnifying glass is not present. Once I turn the iPad vertical, it appears. It’s as if there isn’t enough room on the screen in the horizontal for both issues.

Checking the App Store last night for my iPad and I noticed a "bug fixes" update for X. Installed it and the bug is gone! Everything is back to normal. Woo Hoo!
I have contacted both X and Apple. I will be really surprised if I hear back from either of them. Meanwhile, the trick to rotate the iPad from landscape to portrait, hit the top-left back icon then rotate back to landscape. That's a pain in the *** but not as bad as having to exit X and go back in.
Still makes no sense since this works fine on iOS 26 on my iPhone 15 Pro Max in landscape mode.
can't you just swipe up from the bottom to close the app and return to the home screen
and maybe reach out to X to fix the issue with their back button?

Contact the third-party managing the website. In this case, contact @Support on X.
Try both of the controls in the circle. Then check with X support.
As for getting support, it’s @support per https://help.x.com/en/forms

When I watch a video on X, I can’t go back to the post after (I hit the return arrow in the top left corner, but there is no response). In order to go back to the posts, I have to shut down the app and open it again. It’s a weird glitch, as if it is there to discourage users to watch the videos. This is a new issue. I never had that kind of problem before. I tried to find a contact channel on X, but there is none: they are all tightly linked to very specific issues, but none about technical issues! I also did the most recents updates, uninstalled the app and resinstalled it, but that did not fix anything. I don’t know what to do to fix it. Help!

That link goes to Apple, and is intended for problems Apple needs to know about: sketchy apps, possible app fraud, that sort of thing.
App problems aren’t that.
There is a “App Support” link over there which would be appropriate here, but that probably goes to the same support firehose as @Support.
It's an X problem, not Apple. Can't you use X to contact X?

As I said, the support options are not for technical issues. You have to select specific issues related to other problems that are not technical. There are no ways that I can see to contact X about random technical issues. It can’t be that complicated!
