Queston: Apple Music account "Deauthorize all devices" does not include iPhones?

I just "deauthorized all devices" in my Apple Music account on my M3 iMac to finally get my old iMac off of my Music account (it has been off my iCloud account). I just reauthorized the current M3 iMac and my MacBook Air. But apparently my iPhone was never deauthorized. So I think removing the iPhone is an option, not a normal part of "deauthorizing all"? Apparently the "number of computers" does not include iPhones?

[An aside. I will say that I ran into a display problem will attempting the deauthorization - there was something there about "Remove iPhone" but it just beeped at me. I now know what went wrong but at the time, I did a force quit since Music would not allow me to do anything without a beep.]

I have no recollection of what I did with previous iPhones, and doing searches on the subject came up empty.

I am looking for confirmation from people who have done this - that "deauthorize all devices" does not, apparently include iPhones? I am going to buy a new one soon.

Authorization is only for computers.

Association is for computers, iPads, iPhones, and similar Apple units.

Interesting. I have not seen that term, "association," in this context before. [I just checked my Apple account and yes, it says, “See details for the devices associated with your account.” I associated “association” with “authorized.]

I thought the limit was 5 devices for anything, iCloud, Music, etc. And I was not making a distinction between "device" and "computer." Music does not show specific devices; the number shown there was consistent with my known devices, one of which is old, deactivated.

So apparently there was some old, unknown machine still authorized (if that is the correct word) for Music when I did this.

OK, thanks, that explains this. Just googled "authorization" in this context and now seeing relevant information.
