Apple M4pro not connecting to internet via Wi-Fi or hotspot

Apple M4pro does not connect with the internet, as well not with hotspot, and w-lan active but no connection with the internet

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 26.1

that could be caused by DNS numbers not entered or not correct. DNS is the way you look up site-names into Internet phone numbers (IP addresses).


Wi-Fi not available:

Launch a browser and enter this easy to remember all-numeric IP address:


1.1.1.1 


in the address bar,  and press return.


If you get the CloudFlare** splash page, your internet is working, but DNS lookup may not be working.


**CloudFlare is NOT part of the solution, they just own the easiest to remember all-numeric IP Address (does not require a DNS lookup.)
