Unavailable for this purchase. Cards in wallet. Apple Account. Not enabled for payments on the web

I’m trying to make a purchase on the web via my iPhone that I usually do about once a week or so (give or take) on the exact same website as usual using the exact same pay method as usual (Apple Pay) but as of Thursday evening I’m getting the message saying “Unavailable for this purchase. Cards in wallet Apple account Not enabled for payments on the web. But they had been enabled for the last x amount of yrs. I didn’t make any changes. I have my debit card linked to my Apple Pay which is how I’m trying to make my usual purchase like always. I’ve checked my funds 100x due to trying to figure this out and I have more than enough to pay for this purchase 500xs if I wanted. I also feel like I can say this has nothing to do with my bank account as I’ve seen soo many others say here recently in the last few days they are also unable to make purchases via the web using Apple Pay. I know we aren’t all using the same bank so before anyone tells me it’s my bank related…just don’t. But how do I fix it? What caused it? I can’t figure this out and I’ve tried everything. Yes that includes double checking with my bank institution to make sure there’s not been some kind of a hold or block. I thought I reached out to customer support on this but they told me I reached Apple technical support and I need to talk to the Apple Pay team. Umm what? I thought technical support was supposed to provide technical support for Apple related issues. Whatever. Can someone help a girl out over here? Because they done confused me even more than what I already was.

Yes. As much as I didn’t want to. I have one card that I can link and that card had active subscriptions including cloud storage to my home security system. But I still cancelled all subscriptions and deleted my card on file last night. I shut my phone down last night. When I turned my phone back on this morning I added the card back to my Apple Pay, tried to make the purchase again this morning and was still unable to. I’m able to make other purchases with this card linked into my Apple Pay but for some reason this purchase that I made so many times in the past just won’t work. I reached out to the site I was trying to make the purchase on and they said there were no restrictions on their end. Which I didn’t figure. They want my money so they aren’t going to restrict anything haha

After you asking if I was using a vpn I had to go and look because I honestly had no idea. I am not great at technology. The only thing I know how to do and pretty good at doing with my phone is making calls, sending texts, taking pictures, and up until this point I thought I was pretty good at online shopping but this has me doubting my purchasing skills. After checking it shows there’s no vpn connected. Idk if that’s a good thing or not? If I should have a vpn connected? Or how to go about getting a vpn and then once having one I wouldn’t know how to connect it. I would benefit greatly if there were a technology for dummies course available for me to take.

Where exactly are you entering the card information? Removing a card from Apple Wallet does not require stopping subscriptions, but removing a card from Apple Account will require stopping active subscriptions.
