Why does this little blue thing kill my Pages page arrangement???

How did this get onto my page

and how do I get rid of it????


Any help will keep me from screaming and punching the wall....

That blue anchor point (for inline objects with text wrapping) is normal for inserted objects such as an image. It will remain in view as long as the object is selected, and you are in Move with Text Object Placement. It is not a removable item and will change position as you alter your choice of Text Wrap in the Arrange panel.
