MacBook Pro 2019: Typing in browsers flips pages , jumpy browser pages.

Macbook Pro 2019 A1990, If I type in "any browsers" the pages flip backwards. Its only with browsers. I've tried everything lifting my hands far away from the trackpad, not touching it but nothing seems to help. If I type in notepad, no problem, i can finish a setence or a paragraph, Anybody have experience with this?

my immediate suspicion is that you have a stuck modifier key on your keyboard, such that an ordinary character is modified into a control character.

You can use keyboard viewer to check -- any stuck key will be outlined is Red as always active.

Use the Keyboard Viewer on Mac

Another approach is to connect any-old USB keyboard you have lying about, and see if it also has the same issue. Alpha and numerics should be identical.

thanks that's not showing anything, for test purposes I usually use Firefox, now im replying to you in safari and its not happenning.

Could It be a weirdness in Firefox? Now in safari im getting autocorrect, caps fix, spell fix, is this a pref in safari?

Im not positive im out of the woods, but if safari can handle this, I'll have to repost my topic w Firefox (AUTO CAPS WHY?????) as the header...appreciate any input anybody has......im gonna try chrome too just to check.

tnx
