MacBook Pro screen froze while installing update

MBPro screen froze while installing update. Help. Was install Tahoe 2 or maybe 3


can I interrupt? Or what

You hardly give the details ... not much to go on here

what exact Mac is this?

What is your current macOS?

Stalled where in the process?


If necessary YES you can shut down or >Force a Shut down if you are stuck

You can always force quit a shutdown by holding the power button/TouchID for ~6-10 sec.

Force Shut down your Mac.

Reboot and see where this leaves you.


I have seen several reports of an Intel Machine simply going form 26.2. to 26.3 gettting stuck in processing the install at 5 minutes to go— and no further proress after hours of waiting


The reboot was successful and log in to see 26.2 fully functional— simply had to re-download the point-update and all went as expected the second time around.
