Macs with T1 chip 2016 and 2017 your two-thunderbolt model.
Apple’s proprietary SSD in that non-touchbar models of MBP 2016 or 2017—known to have a high failure rate.
Note—2016 or 2017 non-touchbar model which uses yet another unique proprietary Apple SSD connector.
OWC which sells upgrade kits but does not offer any adapters or enclosures for that SSD.
Maybe Apple alone could help(?)

compared to the 4-Thunderbolt 2016 & 2017 models which had Touchbar :
Both 2016 and 2017 MacBook Pros with Touchbar have a Life Boat connector
2016-2017 Touchbar MBPro, then Apple service tool store (Not a AASP) may be able to access the data stored on the SSD integrated into the Logic Board by using their special LifeBoat connector/device.
