iPhone SE (2020) Touch ID fails after battery replacement
Hi there everyone 😊
Do please let me know if you might be able to suggest a solution here.
I have a iPhone SE (2020). A couple days ago I had the battery replaced at a local tech support. The old battery was at 74% capacity and the new one at 100 %.
However, soon after the replacement my Touch ID (one thumb print) stopped working. Now I am blocked from several things such as doing a system reset that requires Touch ID. I can also no longer update my passcode. I keep getting a message that because I have “Stolen Device Protection” turned on, then a number of features are unavailable, for example adding another finger for Touch ID. I reached out to Apple support chat (live agent) who did troubleshooting and said my phone needs to be serviced.
If possible I would love to hear if anyone here has had this problem and seen a successful way of remedying it.
thanks so much in advance
Susan
