I bought a new Mac mini m4 from B&H on December 18, 2024.
I received the goods on December 19.
Activated on January 5, 2025.
But it is still in its original packaging, sealed.
Why was it activated and no longer under warranty?
What are your thoughts on this?
Sorry! I incorrectly got the impression that a lot were getting mixed up with the date (not realising it was over a year ago) but on checking only 2 posts give the impression that there might be a problem with the retailer.

Correct, as the warranty is for one year, it appears that is exactly what it shows.

As far as I know, Apple warranty begins after activation? Or am I wrong?
you're wrong all warranty in the world begin at purchase
you can buy stuff bury it in a time capsule wait 100 years and when it do not work claim warranty.
I have had Apple Airpods 4 in their packaging (sealed) for over a year and they are not activated.
Therefore, I do not understand Apple's logic.
