why does icloud take €9.99 from my account when my subscription is for 50GB of storage which costs €0.99?

Are you sure it's charging you for iCloud?
Have you verified at https://reportaproblem.apple.com that the charge is actually for iCloud and not something else, like Apple Music?
Conversely, are you sure you subscribed to the 50GB option and not the 2TB option which does cost €9.99?
