Photo Booth video saved corrupted on MacBook Pro M1

Photobooth video saved corrupted on MacBook Pro M1, it doesn't open anywhere, but the file size is 2.7 GB (about 50 min). Tried untrunc, gives the first second only, adding a screenshot of the result. If there is a way to save the file I would greatly appreciate it. The problem is only with this file, tried recording again after and everything was normal, no corruption.

It was clear, but there may be nothing you can do about it if the file itself has been corrupted.

It also helps if you answer @leroydouglas' questions.

You can try using VLC to play the video recording. Perhaps VLC's algorithms can handle a corrupt file better than those used by the macOS native apps. If VLC is able to access the file even if it glitches, maybe you can save part of the recording.

Maybe if the file system is corrupt it is causing problems with that video file. Try running Disk Utility First Aid on the hidden Container using the instructions in the following Apple article:

Edit: You should also check your backups to see if you can find an older copy of the damaged video file that can be retrieved.

?

If it is a one off glitch I would ignore it.

If the one file is corrupt delete it— its corrupt. Move on.

Maybe you can paint a bigger picture for some orientation to the issue if it is ongoing. Otherwise no further action needed.

Old issue , new issue, what changed?

What exact macOS?

What exact Mac?

What is that screen shot(?) from Terminal? A problem report? A Panic report? Other?
