Apple Music offer from American Airlines shows as expired

Hi, I took out a new plan today and clicked the link to redeem my free Apple Music, but the website says the offer has expired. Can anyone help?

The offer code is from american airlines.

Here is the Link:

Thank you. Ummm ... only investigated the link you sent to see if it worked ok on my Mac. Seems the offer itself has not expired.

As it is only your own offer that has expired, you might want to check out the eligibility requirements that American Airlines has in place.

On this "FAQ" page: https://entertainment.aa.com/en/faq

seems you would redeem the 2 month trial in flight.

Eg: says:

"Do I have to pay for entertainment?

No, we offer free entertainment including movies, TV and audio. On select flights, you can access Apple Music if you have an Apple Music subscription. You can also activate a free 2-month trial to Apple Music in flight."

I don't know whether there are also "Terms and Conditions" that apply.

Re: "This is the official Apple forum, and no administrator or support person has responded to me".

We are all Apple users, like yourself in this user-to-user community. Apple is not here, and very unlikely to even see your discussion thread.

Seems to me that American Airlines would be the one to check with.

American Airlines are the ones making the offer.

If your eligibility for the offer has expired, it's likely explained in their Terms and Conditions for the offer... eg: eligible only while in flight ? or maybe there's a certain length of time you that you remain eligible for the offer after your flight ? (ie: not the 2027 date when they stop making the offer available to flyers?)

If you haven't tried redeeming your offer from this webpage:

FYI: Found this Music log-in page from a link on American Airlines :

Re: Apple Music offer from American Airlines shows as expired

Perhaps someone has already redeemed the offer ?

On following your (2025) link there was a 2 month trial offer ... I clicked "redeem" to check, and it asked me to allow a download ... so I didn't allow it.

I'm in Australia, so perhaps the offer is not available in some countries.

Else: Free trials for Apple Music are often limited to those who have not held an Apple Music subscription before ... have no idea whether there are eligibility requirements with this particular offer though.

Apple's own current promo offers: https://www.apple.com/promo/

Also: You may get offered 1 month free trial from the "Try it Now" link within the Music app itself.

Please Note: All free trials need to be cancelled at least 24 hours before expiry if you do not want to be charged for the next subscription period.

OK. Thank you kindly for taking the time to reply, and to let us know.

Great to know you are in contact with the providers of the Music promotion,

using the method they provide.

Businesses generally take their time with replies.

Your reply(s) may yet still come (eg: within 30 days)

It may be that the promo also has Apple's own eligibility requirements.

Seems Apple's free trials are mostly offered for first-time users of Apple Music.

As Apple users, like yourself: Other than replies, there's not a lot we can do

using this form of communication.

Hi, Finally someone who's tried it and agrees with me.

This is the official Apple forum, and no administrator or support person has responded to me.

I've tried repeatedly to contact support in the Apple Music section, but when I send them the link, they tell me that Apple doesn't allow them to access external links and they don't want to escalate or fix the problem. The code is still active and expired; it's very strange.

I think Apple should improve its customer service and support.

Hi, thanks for replying.

I already emailed American Airlines and didn't receive a response.

I tried everything possible and couldn't get the promo code to work.

If the code doesn't work with my account, it should display an error message saying "your account doesn't qualify for this code" instead of "code expired."

Thanks for the link to send feedback to Apple; I've already submitted it.

Hello brbo, thanks for reply!

No, you don't need redeem the code while on the flight. I say this because the past year I did it after the fly.

American Airlines isn't responding to the contact form you sent me. They're also not responding to the main support email; I've attached a screenshot. It's been 12 days since I sent the email.
