Can't sign into iCloud. Error Message: Setup can't continue because Outlook isn't configured to have a default profile.

I have used Outlook

Classic and iCloud for Windows to sync my calendar and contacts across my

iPhone and several Windows PCs successfully for many years.  I also have used Outlook Classic to sync my

Tasks between my PCs.  Now and then, Tasks

will be duplicated or not deleted from one of my PCs and the only way to get

rid of the Tasks that I want deleted on that PC, is to sign out of iCloud and

sign back in.  When I tried to sign back

in this time, I got the following message: “Your setup couldn’t be started

because of an unexpected error (0x800706ba). 

When I clicked on Try Again, I received this message: “Setup can’t

continue because Outlook isn’t configured to have a default profile.  Check your Outlook setting and try again”.  I checked out Outlook settings and there is a

default profile there.  I tried creating

a new profile.  I tried removing my

Bellsouth account from my laptop and setting it up again.  I tried uninstalling iCloud and reinstalling

it.  I tried switching to New Outlook and

synced my Bellsouth/Yahoo account.  My calendars

and contacts where there, but New Outlook was not as user friendly as Classic

Outlook and I could not sync my Tasks at all. 

I uninstalled Office 365, uninstalled iCloud, restarted my computer and

then installed Office 365, restarted my computer, installed iCloud for Windows,

restarted my computer and after all that when I signed into iCloud for Windows,

I received the same two messages.  I don’t

know what to do at this point.  Any

assistance would be appreciated.
