iPhone 17 Pro Max primary eSIM connectivity issues

I have two eSIM from the same provider, one is a personal SIM and the other is a Business SIM.

I recently upgraded my phone to iPhone 17 Pro Max and since changing my phone I am constantly seeing performance issues with my primary SIM. Data disconnections, poor coverage, or even no coverage at all. The second eSIM remains connected without any issue. I have tried resetting network settings but it hasn’t resolved the issue.

I will contact my carrier but given the nature of the symptoms, I feel this is a phone issue. I was looking to see if I could swap the order of the SIM so that SIM 1 (or the one that displays on the top) becomes my business SIM instead of my personal SIM to see if the issue transfers to the other IMSI.

Any testing I can do my side? I feel that the carrier isn’t going to fix it.

Apple can’t re-provision eSIM cards. Only the carrier you’re subscribed to can do that. Apple provides basic iOS updates, but an issue like you’re describing is generally a carrier issue. Apple makes the hardware, but carriers supply the firmware that runs the modem an interfaces with Apple system updates.

It could still be either parties issue, or both. But I’d pursue through the carrier.
