Apple Watch sleep tracking inaccurate in moving environments

I really like my Apple Watch and I bought it mainly to track my sleep. However, the sleep tracking does not work well when a person is sleeping in a moving environment.

Many people sleep in places that are moving, such as trucks, trains, ships, airplanes, or other vehicles. Because of the movement and vibration, Apple Watch sometimes thinks the person is awake and does not record the sleep correctly.

It would be very helpful if Apple could improve the sleep detection algorithm so it can recognize sleep even when the user is in a moving environment.

Many people work while traveling or living on the road, and accurate sleep tracking would be very valuable for them.

Thank you for considering this improvement.

Apple uses mainly the Accelerometer to find out if you are sleeping. My Apple Watch registers a nap or sleep when I sit still, reading the newspaper.

But, since Apple does not follow these user to user communities, using the Feedback link is the only way to tell them about your wishes for future watchOS updates. The more users do that, the more likely we may see changes.
