Apple Devices software has just bricked my iPhone12 Pro

I connected my iPhone12 Pro to Apple Devices software and it told me there was an update available.

I waited for the backup to PC to complete then started the update.

The download completed then the iPhone device display 'rebooted' to display the Apple logo with a progress bar beneath.

The progress bar got to about 60% then the Apple Devices software displays an error message:

"An unknown error occurred (1109). 06B4.000"

The update goes no further.

What do I do now? If the update has destroyed my iPhone I need Apple to fix it or give me a replacement as prior to the update it was working perfectly.

That message is usually associated with antivirus, vpn or 3rd party firewall software interfering with the connection.

Disable or remove any you have installed. Note that disabling them may not be sufficient. You may have to completely remove them.

I rebooted the PC, disabled Virus and real-time protection in Windows Security (I know it's rubbish but I am sticking with it) and restarted the restore via Apple Devices. It was successful this time! Very fortunately I had done a full backup to PC just before the issue occurred so I restore that backup and apart from having to wait for the apps to install then login to every one I am back where I was 3 hours ago...

Thanks for the help with this - I'd be in a proper pickle without the phone.

wyldbore ~ 80% max capacity is not healthy and so could well be the reason for that problem. Apple suggests having the battery replaced at around 80% – so have the weak, aging battery replaced:
