Problem with entering SIM PIN following software update.

On my iPhone 16, the latest software update 26.3.1 has left me unable to enter SIM PIN. The screen comes up but no spaces to enter number and no keyboard! I’ve removed and reinserted the SIM but without success.

Looks like a UI bug after the update where the SIM PIN screen loads but the keypad doesn’t appear. A couple people have hit this after iOS updates.

Try force restarting the phone first. That usually reloads the keyboard service. If it still happens, toggle Airplane Mode on for ~30 seconds, then off, which can re-trigger the SIM unlock screen.

If it keeps happening, go to Settings → Cellular → SIM PIN and see if it lets you enter it there instead. Otherwise it’s likely an iOS glitch and another restart or minor update usually fixes it.
