Locating the Option key on iPad

Just to clarify, are you talking about the software keyboard, or the physical keyboard.

For software keyboard:

There is no option key. Your best bet is to get a physical keyboard.

For hardware keyboards:

The key is located at the bottom left in between the Control and Command keys. There is also another on the right side in between the left arrow key and Command key.

You may be right, though "option" is printed right on the key on Apple keyboards, so it is normally easy to find. In my experience this kind of question often comes up when someone has used a particular app shortcut involving the option key on a laptop or desktop and wants to do the same thing in the iOS version of the app.

What purpose exactly do you need to use the option key for? If you do not have a hardware keyboard, there will normally be a different way provided to do what you want.

Considering he asked for where the key is I’d assume there is a hardware keyboard. Outside of keybinds there is barely any mention of the option key throughout iPadOS.
