Pairing my new hearing aids with my MacBook

I had been using my old hearing aids with my MacBook for some time. They were paired via: Accessibility>Hearing Devices. They failed, and I had to replace them with new hearing aids, which are exactly like the old ones, just different serial numbers. Since the serial numbers didn't match, I had to unpair the old pair, then pair the new ones. I tried, but they won't pair. The little searching wheel just goes round and round. I even tried to pair them with Bluetooth. Again, it failed. What am I doing wrong?
