I think you mean “a few tens of thousands of megabytes”, or, put another way, “tens of gigabytes”.

Megabytes is in the millions; so, it’s in the billions that you’ve reindexed. So, if you only reindexed less than a gigabyte of data, that doesn’t seem plausible, as the macOS, itself, has around 15 GBs of its own data.

so If it’s nothing to do with the update why has it texted my iPad Air as well! My iPhone 12? It has been switched off & on the side all morning & the battery has gone down by 25%! My battery is still normal.

My phone is running through battery power at a ridiculous speed since the 26.4.2. Update. It started immediately & nothing I do changes it. The phone is virtually unusable. It’s an iPhone 12 but the battery is still considered OK at 87 & has been checked in a so called Genius Bar yesterday. I can’t make a short call (5 minutes) without losing 12% of battery power. This started the day I did the update. It has lost 25% of battery overnight when switched off from midnight until 6.30a. I’m glad not everyone is suffering but I am faced with having to buy a new phone because this one is useless now.

Hi Haciyev_058’s I am having the exact same issues with no background application in use with major Battery Drain and completely inconsistent and constant loss of connection in WiFi. This has been occurring after taking O/S 26+ series on my Iphone 15 Pro Max. @Apple, are you looking into this? What is breaking the connection in WiFi and causing battery to drain without the use of any Apps.

Sadly 26.4.1 did not solved wifi issues on my iPhone 17. Almost impossible connect to home wifi, quickly battery draining and overheating
