Stop Apple from notifying me to upgrade Sequoia to Tahoe

Even though I select "DO NOT DO AUTOMATIC UPGRADES" in the "General" settings on my iMac, Apple keeps trying to shove the Tahoe OS upgrade onto my iMac which has Sequoia os. I do NOT want Tahoe because not only is it not very stable, I have a lot of apps that work on Sequoia and not on Tahoe.

Apples notification box to upgrade keeps coming up even though I've told it not to in the settings.

Anyone have an answer for Apple to STOP doing this???

Thx for any input ahead of time!

"but it does demonstrate the folly of market dominance...” “lack of free and fair competition"

Apple has no market dominance in anything, especially the PC market where Apple has maybe 15%. Just today it was announced that iPhone has reached 20% marketshare worldwide. Where is this dominance you throw around? As for free and fair competition what does that even mean in term of macOS? And don't start with the tripe claim that macOS is its own market which Apple has a monopoly on. And by the way you can run the latest Linux distro if you’re not happy with Apple choices. You own the hardware, that’s all. It’s plain and simple to me. Apple wants its users to be as fully up to date as possible to prevent security and privacy issues. Apple has the right to promote its software whether you like it or not.

But I do know one thing. If you had the option to stop all notifications, never updated, and got nailed by a security flaw, who would you blame? Certainly not yourself, right?
