iOS 26.6 seems to have broken my Mobile Service.

iOS 26.6, the latest update, has disconnected my Mobile Service!!!

I have WiFi, but today I could not connect to Mobile for the life of me.

Has anybody experienced this problem?? I’ve done nothing else, all I did was update to 26.6.

I’m literally sitting here at Spectrum Mobile about to talk to somebody.

See my pic? It says 🆘!!!! Been doing that all day. Still says it and I’m sitting in a Spectrum shop!!!

What happened? Is there a fix?

Why does this always happen to me…..

Updated to 26.6, iPhone 13 mini. About a week later I wake up to no cell service but wifi is OK. I have an e-sim and a physical sim in the phone - neither work. Tried all the fixes, power down, airplane mode on / off, reset network settings, sim in and out (but was using the e-sim) - no fix. Took it to my provider - says it's my phone as sim works in another phone. SOLVED by wiping my phone and restoring with back-up from my mac. I'm glad I regularly back up all phones on my mac and back-up the mac right afterwords. It was a pain in the **s but didn't have to buy another phone.

Not saying it was the update but it wasn't a hardware issue.

any solution yet?
how can I go back to 26.5??

You can't go back to 26.5. Downgrading is not supported. What did your carrier do for you, when you surely contacted them for help with their service? This is not an update issue. If it was, everyone of the millions upon millions who updated to 26.6 would be complaining, but they're not. It's an issue with your carrier.

To be able to use any SIM across the globe you must have "No SIM Restriction" against Network Provider Lock. Please refer to the pic below.

If you see No Service or Searching in the status bar on your iPhone or iPad (Wi-Fi + Cellular), your device isn't connected to a cellular network. If you see SOS or "SOS only" in the status bar, your device can still make emergency calls.

OK Spectrum gave us the answer!

They have had their connection with the Verizon network cut off by something and it’s affecting them network-wide.

At least we now know!!!

Sorry Apple, but I’m glad we got the answer right away. I guess we’ll be out of Mobile Service for a while until this is fixed!! So I can’t even catch a cab! Or use my Map! Or make a phone call! Unless I can find WiFi!!!

Crazy.

Not every issue an individual encounters on their device can be attributed to an iOS update. If the update itself were the root cause, then every device running that same version of iOS would exhibit the identical problem. In such a scenario, the forums would be flooded with countless posts reporting the same malfunction, creating an unmistakable wave of complaints that no one could possibly overlook. The absence of such widespread reports strongly indicates that the issue is not systemic, but rather specific to the device in question.

Cell Service is back on both my lines (1 Verizon & 1 AT&T). I hope this does not happen again. The network reset may or may not have been necessary, but I've never seen my device struggle with functionality after such troubleshooting. For long moments, it was simply frozen.

I haven't experienced such long durations of lockup since having a iPhone 3G!

Cell service back on line. Ran diagnostics and no hardware fault detected. Does this make it more likely the issue is in fact 26.2?
No word from Verizon or AT&T about outages or network issues.

You don’t really expect them to tell you about boo-boos, do you? Here’s a crowd-sourced network status site:
