There are over 2.5 Billion devices out there, used by more than 1.5 Billion users. There are millions upon millions upon millions of people who have updated to iOS 26.6 by now. You may have an issue, but claiming it is wholly one caused by the iOS 26.6 update can't be validated and isn't true. All of my devices are updated to iOS 26.6, yet not one of them is having any such issues. What you need to determine is why YOU are having an issue.

What troubleshooting steps have you taken? Did you at least Force Restart your iPhone after the update (I do this after EVERY iOS update) --> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

Sometimes a backup restore can fix issues which an update could have precipitated --> Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support

If nothing helps, then an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar would be recommended --> Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple

"iOS 26.6 not loading apps or charging phone.: I have iPhone 16 pro max. I just updated my phone to iOS 26.6. The apps I reference are up to date, I’ve restarted my phone multiple times. Since downloading the update, I go to open apps and they open but won’t load into the app. It’ll be on the title screen of the app and then it just glitches and goes back to the Home Screen. Some apps I can’t open unless I’m on WiFi, some apps I can’t open unless I’m on data. For a while half my keyboard was blank. Sometimes I go to charge my phone and it won’t charge so I have to restart my phone and it will charge. I can’t load into apps at all, my phone becomes useless."

B. Clear System Data:

Having just installed an update, System Data may have just been created. System Data is no more than caches, all of which are created for application sufficiency, so that they open quicker and respond faster. So, clear it: How to Clear Space from your Mobile Device, and What to Clear: - User Tip

C. Report this to Apple...

So, do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of this, if you don't report it to them.

1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
3. Comment: that this all began after installing an update. Include the URL of this thread.
4. Proceed from there as necessary

iOS 26.6.1 update please

This is a common problem with the update. Often the solution is to delete any one of those apps and then redownload it. The downloading of one app will fix the problem on all the apps.

That could be a bad cable/charger or a hardware issue with the phone. Try using a different cable/charger and if that doesn't help, schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar for evaluation and service options --> Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple

So, what's the issue here?

Looking to update your device? You may or not be able to, deleting on your model.

1. Go to: Settings > General > About
2. View: Model Name
3. See if it is seen here: iPhone Models Compatible with iOS 26 - Apple Support

Updating:

If you can't update your iPhone, you can do so using a computer, or Cellular (if an applicable device):

• Making Use of a Computer for Updating an iOS Device - User Tip
• Use an iPhone 12 or later, that is using 5G, in order to update over Cellular - User Tip

Important:

Back Up First: Be sure to create a backup of your iPhone prior to performing an update, that way you can have something to restore your iPhone from, should anything go wrong afterwards. One update is complete, backup your iPhone once more.

Mine stopped charging. It first gave me a liquid detected error and then later stopped charging. I use an iPhone 14 Pro Max and this happened when I tried charging when my battery was low after the 26.6 update

iOS update crashed when downloading and won’t let me charge my phone from port anymore . Sometimes my screen goes black like that he phone is off and comes back 10-15 seconds later .

Lots of storage on phone and it will not let me update new 26.6 . Have to charge my phone off a charging pad now & my battery drains fast now

No one here can perform the update. These are just user-to-user forums. You need to perform this yourself, unhand. No one has access to your iPhone, and that is a good thing, BTW.

Since the 26.6 my phone no longer charges via the cable!! I have to use a wireless charger!

also the battery drain is crazy fast!

any help on this or when the fix will be is much appreciated
