My iPhone show iOS 26.7 under 'Upgrade to iOS 27'

Confirmed, just a display bug. Was successfully able to upgrade to 27

Charge the battery. Leave it connected to the charging circuit when attempting the update.

Disable Low Power Mode.

I contacted Apple support... they've recommended to do the update via Mac/PC on the Apple Devices app.

Yes that’s what I did and it installed iOS 27 despite displaying it was doing iOS 26.7 again.

I updated using a Mac and it worked. Have reported this as a bug.

You have to go to settings, then general then software update and then wait for it to load and then scroll all the way down and you’ll see iOS 27

Appears to do both, even if you try to skip 26.7.

I chose iOS 27, and my iPhone 14 Pro went back and started installing 26.7. I have to assume it's going to install that first, then automatically follow up with iOS 27.

I deleted the iOS 26.7 In storage, then restarted the phone. I tried again, but it wanted to install 26.7 again when I tapped on the “also available- upgrade to iOS 27. I’m on iPhone 15 Pro, so definitely eligible. That said, I suspect everyone is hammering Apple’s servers for this update, so maybe I’ll just try a little later.

Seems to be a bug already. If I go into About (under General), it does say 27.0 as the installed OS. But I go into Software Update, it just endlessly spins without ever reporting anything. And, whoops! Now on the fourth try, Software Update finally reports iOS is up to date, iOS 27.0.

Yes - it advertises 26.7 alongside 27.. but when you select 27.. it then tells you it's installing 26.7 - thats the issue we're seeing.

From what Ed K says.. it looks like it'll actually install 27 (despite telling you visually its 26.7).. so as Ed says. likely a typo.

Sadly for me - I followed Apple Supports advice and tried to install via PC. It didn't have the same issue as on-phone.. but instead it bailed out with "an unknown error occured (9). 130A.0000" and.. the update looks frozen on the device. I'm seeing how to recover now..

I got the same option.But I chose ios27.After installation ios27 the settings shows that optimising search and Siri. The browser is **** slow and sluggish.Better to stay in 26.7 until they release 27.1.

I'm seeing the same.. if you select iOS27 and install (even if the download shows iOS26.7), does it upgrade to iOS27 or iOS 26.7 ?

Mine shows it as a 13gb download.. so I'm assuming thats a full iOS27 rather than the patch from iOS26.6 -> iOS26.7

Tried updating to 26.7 first to see if that would fix it. Now 26.7 no longer shows as an option on the main update screen, but tapping the 27 upgrade at the button still shows up as a 26.7 update. The download is a lot bigger/taking a lot longer than the actual 26.7 update, so hoping it's just a display bug and that it is actually the 27 update.

I tried this but still the same for me. I select iOS27 at the bottom but thats not what it wants to do:

Select iOS 26.7 and it shows as a 872.4Mb download

Select iOS 27 and it then shows the download as iOS 26.7, but 13.77Gb

I'm going to see what the iOS27 selection actually downloads
