iOS 27 CarPlay not working after update on 2 different iPhones, that worked perfectly before the update.

Same here with a iPhone 18 Pro Max with iOS 27 on a 2019 Mazda 3. It created the connection in settings, and asks for permission at both the car and phone ends, but it never actually starts CarPlay.

This is with a wired connection - the only option for my car. Am wondering if a wireless car play dongle would help?

Just upgraded to the iPhone 18 Pro Max from an iPhone 16 Pro Max and my CarPlay is not working. Tried everything that Siri suggested and ChatGPT suggested and nothing worked. This must be an IOS problem. Hopefully it’s fixed soon.

"They" didn't tell the user anything. The user was referred to an Apple Support document that suggests a number of troubleshooting checks. So click on the link provided by @Wombat- and start reading.

Guess I should be grateful that since "upgrading" to iOs 27 that CarPlay now takes about 3-4 minutes to connect vs the 10-15 seconds it use take. This is happening on two different iPhone (13 and 16Pro) in a VW and in a Kia. Annoying enough that I am looking into downgrading back to iOs 26.

Model iPhone 17, after updating to ios 27 CarPlay didn’t work. Screen got dark every time I connect.

Both myself and my fiancé are having the SAME problem on completely different vehicles. Absolutely aggravating. It shouldn’t take this long to fix.

I am having the same issue. Did all the suggested reset steps but still having the same issue with my car. iPhone 17 pro on ios 27
