tvOS 27: Audio stops on shared library after 5 minutes

After upgrading to tvOS 27, the Conputers app, which I use to watch my shared home library only plays about five minutes of video before the audio goes completely silent. The video keeps playing, but there is absolutely no audio even if you turn the volume all the way up. I have tried it on three different Apple TVs using both HomePod mini and normal HomePods as speakers. I have tried turning off audio features like enhance dialog and reduce loud sounds. It happens very consistently across every Apple TV except for the old ones which are still on tvOS 26. The same files play on McIntosh computers using the TV app just fine so I know it is not the files. I have also played these files hundreds of times before upgrading. I have reset the Apple TV. I have turned off power to the Apple TV. Nothing seems to fix this. Is anyone else encountering this?

The issue is with small interleaving on ripped files. The solution is to use MP4box to set the interleave to 500 milliseconds. Once you install gpac using Homebrew, the following bash command in terminal will do this on every MP4 file in or under the current folder. So go to your movie and/or TV folder and run it there:

find . -type f -name “*.mp4” | while read -r file; do MP4Box -inter 500 “$file”; done
