iPhone 15 Pro notifications not working after iOS 27.0.1 update

Hello everyone,

My iPhone 15 Pro, updated to the latest available version of iOS 27 (27.0.1), suddenly stopped sending me notifications from almost all the apps I have installed.

The main ones, and the ones causing me the most problems, are WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook, but also Instagram, My Avs Alarm, and many others.

I have already tried everything: checking the notification settings, which are all correct (and I haven’t changed them overnight anyway), making sure that Focus modes weren’t enabled, checking Priority Notifications, reinstalling the apps, restarting the iPhone, but nothing works!

I find this really unbelievable. Has anyone else ever experienced something like this?

Thank you very much for your help!

Quick update: I’m not sure if this is directly related to the issue, but in my case, I'd run out of iCloud storage. I freed up space by physically deleting photos and videos from iCloud (after saving them to an external hd). After that, I backed up my iPhone and WhatsApp, and completely reinstalled the apps that were having notification issues. A few days later, everything seems to be working correctly again. I can't explain how the storage issue might have affected notifications, though it might just be a coincidence. I didn't perform any updates compared to before; the only change was freeing up that space. It remains a bit of a mystery...

Glad to know I’m not the only one! Apple absolutely MUST fix these critical bugs; I’m seriously thinking about leaving the Apple ecosystem because of this! Nothing like this ever happened to me when I used Android!

As soon as I have time I’ll try visiting an Apple Genius, though I was hoping to resolve a problem like this on my own...

I realized today that I don't get nearly any notifications on my 15 Pro anymore on iOS 27.0.1. Reinstalling gmail did fix gmail notifications but I don't want to reinstall all the apps - it will take a day. Nothing else worked.

I did get a new apple watch a few weeks ago and initially I blamed that but again, the new apple watch also forced me to update the iPhone to iOS 27.0.x

i have also had this issue since updating to iOS 27.0.1 , and the issue persists after updating to the latest iOS 27.2. i’m also on iPhone 18 Pro Max! i really thought apple would have fixed it by now. i’m an influencer online so i regularly would get notifications persisting all day long. after updating, they’re completely broken, as in i only get notifs every 20 minutes or so , then nothing at all, sometimes for hours. i have both an iPhone & iPad & the identical issue occurs. have tried everything and nothing has fixed it. highly disappointed in apple as i have never experienced an inconvenience this bad from them and it needs to be fixed ASAP especially after this new update not addressing the issue, making it so i’ve been dealing with this for an entire month now.

I've been fighting this on my 15 Pro Max for the past day once I realized the notifications weren't going through. I assumed it was broken by pairing a new Apple Watch but it looks like there are at least a few people with the same problem. I've gone through resetting everything I could think to try short of erasing the phone and starting clean. Hopefully Apple can send some sort of fix. I really don't want to have to start from the beginning...

Same here. Nothing I tried worked really.

I have a lot of storage in iCloud, I signed out and back in to my apple id. I deleted and reinstalled apps. Restarted my phone many many times.

Nothing seems to fix this.

I dont’t get mails, work slack messages, whatsapp, instagram, tiktok… nothing

sometimes it seems to work, but then it goes back to not working

sometimes messages arrive many minutes late.

all of this happened after I updated to ios 27.0.1, I also got a weird alarm of “a new device added to icloud” when no device was actually added…

If anyone has a permanent fix, please let me know, I am desperate

I’ve tried 99% of the solutions available out there for iPhone 15 pro max and my wife’s iPhone 15. The only notifications that are working are in iMessage , no other app at all. The 1% is that I haven’t factory reset the phones, if someone can confirm that factory reset will fix the issue, I will even go there
