Web browser will not load youtube?

Hello,
After watching this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79Sd1UBhbXo and a few other videos off of youtube about building a web application in xcode I tried it myself. I did all the steps said and everything seemed to work. Except, when I try to open youtube, it begins to load, then freezes and quits. Is there something that I did wrong or is this a known issue? The only thing that i saw was that they all say to open mainmenu.xib for the interface builder. However, i do not have that, i have mainmenu.nib? Could this be the problem?

Does anyone else have a web browser that they created that can run youtube? If so, please respond.

Are you still running ClickToFlash? It will play Flash, it just waits for you to allow it, but if nothing is playing you might try uninstalling it for troubleshooting purposes. What other plug-ins are you using (don't forget to look at both */Library/Internet Plug-Ins* and your user's ~/Library/Internet/Plug-Ins folders)? I'm also wondering if something I use might be helping, although I think Flip4Mac is about the only extra I am running.

Edit: what version of Xcode/WebKit are you running?

In my user library there only was click-to-flash. These are the plugins in my library folder:

DirectorShockwave.plugin
Disabled Plug-Ins
Flash Player.plugin
flashplayer.xpt
Flip4Mac WMV Plugin.plugin
GarminGpsControl.plugin
iPhotoPhotocast.plugin
JavaPlugin2_NPAPI.plugin
JavaPluginCocoa.bundle
NP-PPC-Dir-Shockwave
nsIQTScriptablePlugin.xpt
Quartz Composer.webplugin
QuickTime Plugin.plugin
RealPlayer Plugin.plugin
Silverlight.plugin
WacomNetscape.plugin
WacomSafari.plugin

Xcode is Version 3.2.3
Webkit I am not aware on how to find this?

I'm not running the Shockwave, Garmin, iPhoto, RealPlayer, or Wacom plug-ins, but those shouldn't have anything to do with Flash. The WebKit executable I have is dated 3/11/10 (I am also running Xcode 3.2.2). The ClickToFlash plug-in seems to want to be run first to set up its preferences, so you might try removing that if you haven't set it up yet.

What are your build settings? The i386 architecture doesn't seem to play Flash, so try setting to x86_64. Also check if you have any firewall settings that deny access to the WebView.

Controls may also be on the toolbar, but you can use the *Xcode > Project > Set Active Architecture* menu item to set the architecture. There are other menu items to set the configuration, SDK, etc.

The *System Preferences > Security > Firewall* pane will show the firewall status, and clicking on the Advanced... button (you may need to unlock to make changes) will show you the current settings. Unless you are blocking everything, there should be a list of applications and services and whether they allow incoming connections or not.
