iTunes 10 won't recognise my iPod 3rd Gen anymore.

Today I installed the new iTunes 10, and now my iPod touch 3rd gen won't connect to it. My laptop has found it as a camera / image driver, and it charges up. However it doesn't appear on the iTunes left side panel, as it has done in previous versions.

Can anyone help?

I've uninstalled it a couple of times, along with the other apple programs, but still nothing.

Hey finally got it!!!
Uninstall absolutly everything apple from programs and features (can sort by publisher)

Restart Computer

Download and install most recent version of itunes.

I am having this same problem too. I have windows XP. The ipod is recognized as a digital camera when plugged in. It doesn't show up in the device manager. I am lost as what to do.
