iPhone4: Facebook Push Notification Not Working

I'm trying to figure out why this is not working. I tried deleting and reinstalling the FB app, but it still doesn't push. Mail seems to push fine, but FB just refuses to. Anyone heard of this and how to fix? My phone is new (1 day old), let me know if there is any other info you need. The FB app version was 3.2.2.

Not sure if this answer was already provided..

But, I was able to get my push notifications by doing this on my iPhone 4:

Settings > Notifications > In Notification Center > Facebook > Make sure Notification center is ON > Alert Style: Banners or Bagdes > Badge App Icon: ON > which ever setting you like for Sounds and View in Lock Screen.

Worked for me 😀

I'll post in this thread just to tell you what worked for me.. the only solution to this problem.

All your notification settings can be activated, in the app as well as in your phone settings.. and it still would not work.

I tried everything from deleting all apps which could possibly interfere with facebook, deleting and reinstalling facebook itself, restarting the phone etc...no good.

What I did was deactivated my facebook profile from my PC (dont worry, this will not delete your profile, it will just turn it off) and then re-activated in by signing in again.

This will reset whatever setting was preventing notifications to work on your phone.

Give it a go.

This have SOLVED all my notification problem:

Go to ios Setting/Mail,Contacts,Calendars/Fetch New Data: set Push to ON (my was set to off)

Scroll down to Advanced and set icloud to Push (my was set to manual)

I deactivated all this settings because of battery drain, but after this, all works fine.

That's all.

Be sure that all Facebook notification settings are active in the Notifications window.

I have had this same problem for over a year now, they wouldn't work on my iPhone iPad android phones or tablets. It has nothing to do with resetting anything, clearing caches, reinstalling or restoring. There is an app that you have connected to your Facebook which has blocked your notifications.

Head into your Facebook app and click on account settings, click on the apps button and turn all platforms off. Close the app in your multitask by double clicking your home button and closing the app from there. Get someone send you a test and bam.... Notifications :) I never thought I would see a Facebook notifications ever again! Head back into your settings and turn platforms back on. Your apps will be gone but I'm sure you can reconnect them when you use them again.
