Music skips since Itunes 10

Whenever I am using flash for example while I am playing Facebook games Itunes sounds like a CD that is skipping horribly. Anyone else have this problem?

I have been noticing an abundant amount of skipping during music playback since the last one or two iTunes updates that came out. I thought I was going crazy or my files were bad. Google'd up this thread... Interestingly enough it seems that enabling the Visualizer seems to stop my skipping. Perhaps the more cpu cycles kicks it into a higher priority.

I'm *still* having the skipping issues even after several updates. I currently have 11.0.1.12 so it is not limited to iTunes 10. The only purpose my iTunes currently serves is to sync my iPhone and iPod. I can no longer play anything on it without it skipping. It really ****** me off. I have to use freaking Windows Player of all things! GAH!

I had never had this issue prior to version 10, and it's been on the same computer for ever. And it's been wiped and updates before, during and after with no change. So it isn't my computer. 🙂

Dear Apple. Please fix. thanks.

I have determined the skipping issue with Itunes. Apple has fine tuned there Sudden Motion Sensor.

Sudden Motion Sensor (SMS) technology is built-in protection for the hard disk that is designed to help prevent disk issues if the computer is dropped or undergoes severe vibration.

If the computer feels a sudden motion it will park the hard drive when doing this it will pause the song unil the hard drive is safe to resume. You can disable this feature. (see below link)
