Unwanted: Remote controls both AppleTV and Computer at same time

How do I get the remote to stop controlling my Computer, and only control my AppleTV?

Macbook, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

System Preferences>Security&Privacy> Advanced (bottom right)> check "disable remote control infrared receiver"

There is a button on the bottom right 'Advanced...' where you'll find the option
