Shows we watch on AppleTV via Home Sharing are not marked as "watched"!!!!

Hi,

This is seriously annoying.

When we watch a purchased show on our new AppleTV via Home Sharing, the fact that we've watched it does not go back to iTunes (or get reflected on the AppleTV). You watch a show, and the blue dot just stays there, it never goes away...

This really needs to get fixed...

With the latest ATV2 firmware update this bug is back. it was fixed. But now again I play TV Shows or Podcasts, and they are not shown as played. I've tried to play all the way through the end, and stopping just before, like during the closing credits of a TV show. iTunes is not updated as having been played. Really messes up playlists.

Anyone else notice this?

I saw this happen last night. I watched a couple of podcasts all the way through and they disappeared from the unwatched list on the ATV but were never marked as played in iTunes. Having said this I haven't tested after the update that I installed last night after watching the last podcast. I will have to try it again with the latest ATV update

I did test it, and it's not fixed, 4.2.1 still does not update iTunes. it's odd that it does show on the ATV that it's played. Like if I watch a TV episode. it's removed after I play it. But then iTunes doesn't show it played. And the next time I go back to my ATV it's there again unplayed.

And again, yes I do have it checked to update the play count in Sharing. Doesn't make any difference.

Apple please fix this yesterday.
