Nanos breaking in your hip pocket?

I have a nano, I wear it in my pocket and I have absolutely no problems. I'm just careful, I can feel when there is light pressure on it. I have "friends" who say exactly that, bla blah, theyve have a friend whose friend's friend heard of one that broke in a pocket.. and I can tell they are just jealous.
I can't see that happening unless the jeans are EXTREMELY tight, or the person is really heavy, or extreme pressure was put on it against a flat surface or something.. the nanos, though delicate looking, thin, and (the polished front and chrome is) 'prone' to light scratching, they are in no way fragile; though treating them as if they are and being careful is worthwhile.
Even with all the supposed "problems" with the nano, most if not all of them are created by obsessive owners and jealous have-nots. I for one love my nano, and even though I have had some of that obsessive owner complex, I could not be happier with it and am in absolutely no way regretful.
The only damage done to my nano in the over a month I have had it is light scratches in the week of so before I got a full-body cover (the screen protector type) from Boxwave, which I highly reccomend. I'm probably going to pair it with the tubes, or an aluminum Core case, which I am positive will work out excelently.\

exnano user, i hope you're a woman because no real man carries change in his wallet. maybe thats the problem. maybe its a UK thing. i dont know.

wallets do not carry change, they carry bills.

I think it is absurd that anyone would put a Nano in a pocket or wallet with change and/or keys, then complain about scratches or a broken screen. It is a sleek, sophisticated mini computer and should be treated as such. It isn't a timex watch (that "takes a licking and keeps on ticking"). Of course it was Steve Jobs who pulled a Nano out of his pocket at the launch. Big mistake.

I babied my Nano like there was no tomorrow. I wrapped it in clothe before putting it in my purse and it had a case on it. LCD broke, that's that. There is a chance the LCD WILL break. There is a VERY GOOD CHANCE that it will. It happened to me and every one of my friends that has a Nano. I do not carry anything in my pockets besides my Nano. I have a case, it sits in my front pocket because I don't want to sit on it if it's in the back. The screen cracked while charging on my desk. They are very delicat. I mean, of course if you move the right way it'll break. But mine was sitting on a desk, a clean desk with nothing touching it but the surface of the desk and the charger. S* happens. I will not get a new Nano. I am requesting either store credit or my money back. I'm not going to be forced to keep getting Nanos that break every few weeks. Its annyoing and a waste of money. Although you have to pay for restocking your daughter will be upset that you got her the Nano after her telling you she didn't want it.

Haha i think it is soething european, I live in the Netherlands (bet you don't know where that is) and I seem to be the only one around without coins in a wallet. lol

it was ony 1 batch that have problems, and there were 10 batches so there is a 1 in ten chance urs will brake

Why would you carry it in youe back pocket anyway?

1. Easy to steal
2. Might get sat on
3. You cant see the thing!!

My nano broke because it was one of them with a fault LCD screen. I ended up wiith a dark smudge on the inside, there was no crack on the screen.

The guy on the phone said they'd send some one round to pick it up and replace it within two working days. It's actually a component fault and Apple have considered removing the products from the market, so I hear.

It would be helpful in this forum if people were honest and not so ra-ra Mac all the time. I've used Macs for around 14 years now, so I have quite a bit of experience of their machines not being perfect.

Nanos are very delicate anyway, so I suggest getting a case.
