voice memos not showing up in itunes

turning off synching of voice memos worked for me too! thanks

For kicks; from within iTunes, see if your memo's show up in the Music folder under your device. That's what happen to me.

Agreed; iPhone/iPod can (and did) have this ability...

Just need to get it back.

Try this: Change the LABEL of your voice memo from NONE to MEETING, then connect your ipod touch to your PC. Itunes will sync the voice memos.

I've been having the same problem the last week, but I just unchecked the "sync over wifi" box...and it worked! The voice memos showed up the next time I synced.

Should I do this while the ipod is connected to the computer? Will this be the same solution for a windows based computer? I would appreciate your further assitance. thanks.

Thanks Allan. Checked the sync voice memos, hit the sync button and it totally worked.

There's no way it seems to work. I've tried almost every combination of check, uncheck, sync, quit and relaunch itunes, reboot lion...

Apple, please give us an ANSWER.

Hmmm. Voice memos don't appear in my "playlists" or "genre" lists. Maybe this is why they aren't synching?

This is correct the files have changed to .mov .. Quicktime .Why ?only the usless idiots at Apple can answer this.

Well, the trouble is only getting worse. Now my Iphone 3 will not record. Push the little red button -- nothing. Great.

Trimming the voice memo by a few seconds at the end of the recording (suggested by Xaero182) worked for me. I had tried the suggestion to label the recording and that did not work for me.
