No I can't play all my memos from my phone even though they and their durations are listed inside the voice memos program. I can play random files. Some recent some old but when I try to play the ones that don't work I press play and nothing, literally nothing happens.

I've never used File Juicer, I've installed about 4-5 different other iphone sweep programs like I mentioned earlier but how do you know that this would work?

Hi,

I've found a quick fix while they continue to ignore this glitch. You don't really need to do any of the suggested tasks here other than check "Manually manage music and videos" This appears to allow you to edit information on the contents in your iPhone. You then go into the voice memos playlist on your iPhone/iTouch and you right click the file, and click "get info"

Afterwards, Change the category of the file to ANYTHING but "Voice memos" and perhaps even add it to one of your playlists.

This should fix your problem. It did for me anyway...

I've tried it, it doesn't help.

That solution has been talked about here as much as witchcraft in the middle ages. No offense, it's just that no viable solution seems to be available until those ******** from apple finally acknowledge this forum and this message board and fix this god **** ****. If the ios6 had happened earlier I would've known never to entrust to apple to record anything of mine cause they're as unreliable as a kid on a motorcycle with no helmet on.

Just spent literary over 2 hours in attempt to sync my 2 (each one hour long Voice Memos) from my iMac.

Did every possible suggested in this loooong topic, still i wasn't able to get my memos into iTunes!

Finally i have capitalised and installed 3rd party app, iExplorer and heureka! Event the demo mode (you dont have to pay for it) let you browse easily through you media and drag-drop function will get you voice memos whenever you want!

well that's really nice, I've tried everything even that and got about 50% of it back. What's funny is when I connect the phone to a 3rd party software like '3herosoft iphone to computer transfer' and look at voice memos it says all my files are there, are 186 of them, it names them, writes their duration and ammount of space they take up but when I go to transfer them it transfers it all but 50% of it is full files, other have 0kb. I am beggining to go mad here since still, STILL, apple hasn't responded. Those ******* ********, you'd think after all the **** talk they have about having the customer being number one and their products being ************* perfect I am amazed at this kind of behaviour. I am not the only one, there have been people here since 2 years ago and that faulty program is still being issued without notice to people who are going to use it and lose their work. Apple, WTMF ??!!?!?!?!? RESPOOOOOOOOND, HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ARE YOU THERE, HELLOOOOOOOO?!?!?!?!

I did just got this problem fixed, but at first I was unclear what people were talking about. I found the VMs under playlist section in iTunes on the PC after synch. I did make sure to "synch music" selcted under the "music" tab on my phone. I just synch manually and selected "include voice memos" check box (plus i also synch the new playlist I created below which I placed my VMs in).

I right clicked on each VM and changed the "media kind" to music on the options tab after selecting "get info" from the iTunes playlist "Voice Memos" -- however, this step is not necessary i later found out (the next step does it for you). Then I right clicked the memos and choose "create mp3 version". That's where I got stuck. I had to go to my library/music and find the "Voice Memo" folder under albums. There I saw the AAC and now MP3 versions of the same voice memo. I deleted the AAC duplicate version. Then I created a new Playlist in iTunes. I copied these MP3 files to that playlist and synched. Simple issue that involves too much work around. I used iphone 4s with 6.01 OS iTunes 10.7. Good luck

This is not good Apple! I have a G3 iphone and for years my uploads of voice memos to a mini were just fine - found all secure in itunes perfectly. Now, with macbook pro and newest itunes , it's madness. I can't figure this out and all the posts from people with similiar issues just scare me. HELP!!!! Where's my voice memo playlist? Can't find it. Where are my voice memos...? yipes apple, what did you guys DO???? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My voice notes are WORK for me. This is bad.

Yup, that's why so many people are ******* ****** that it happened. I haven't used that piece of **** for a long time now and don't consider doing it ever again. Download blue fire, it works ok but has a bug when you transfer files over wireless to computer it shortens the names but at least it stores what was ******* recorded unlike this piece of apple ****.

I have suggested the same approach long long time ago, and I still use it. The problem is your step 2) simply does not work. There is no "correct" way to synch as most people explain. Maybe you are lucky, unlike all of us. In the past I had a funny way (also posted earlier) where the trick is to tell iTunes NOT to synch VM and then... it does synch them and they pop up in iTunes as VM (there goes logic). That trick still more or less works but I haven't figured out a strict and reliable step by step approach – you need to change between synch and do not synch VM. Messy it is. I also delete the complete list and folders with VM (created by iTunes), once I converted the VM into MP3, to later restart with a "clean" list. It is weird. I have a 30 min VM that iTunes detects in my iPhone (when connected) and I can listen to it. But it is nowhere to be found in the iPhone and I can't save it in iTunes. Talking about a mess Apple fails to solve despite all of us complaining.

I think I found the reason why.

in longer files, or during phone calls while recording, voice recording app messes up something in file structure of Recordings folder (or whatever it is named on your iphone).

Afterwards, itunes skips all the voice memos in that folder that were created before. New ones are copied.

Only solution if the error is severe is to copy manualy with iexplorer or similar, and delete folder, restart iphone to recreate that folder on iphone, and start with new memos.

copied memoes can be transfered from itunes to iphone later during syncing and should work.

Apple needs to check it out. ****, Im volunteering to give all my memoes for analysis.

Thanks for the tip Ruchela. I tried your method and it worked! I have dealing with this issue for a while. My long voice memos would appear on my iphone, but would not sync with itunes. Even the people at the Genius bar at Apple could not figure it out and told me to restore my phone which I did not do. So thanks again.
