I'm sorry you're having problems with the update, and I've certainly had my share of problems with Logic and with Apple over the years. However, I can't fix the 9.1.2 update and I don't care if you use a PC + Cubase. None of us do. Some people at Apple might, but they're not here.

It is very important that you address your concerns to them.

You don't understand. Most pro studios are busy with the business end of making music. Once they get a working rig, they don't change nothing unless absolutely required. Read the trade mags and witness all G5 and first gen Mac Pros well entrenched in the studios (though usually running Pro Tools, with Logic on the side).

And even the non-commercial studios prefer to let an update "sit" for a couple months whilst those who don't mind living on the bleeding edge discover the bugs. (see update 9.1.2)

In New York there are hundreds or maybe thousands of professionals using Logic, but there are very few, maybe three "pro" studios left standing. In New York!!! Whatever it is that pro studios are doing, it is irrelevant. If pro studios are using ancient hardware and software it is because of tightwad bean counters, and the great need to be backwards compatible - NOT because it is the preference of their engineers and clients.

Logic is intended for us - people who buy it and use it. Our own amateur and professional configurations are the real ones, the right ones, relevant to Apple (remember, they SELL these things) and to any discussion concerning Logic.

I don't know if you were really trying to make an argument that Logic runs better on a G5, or that Logic 7 was better than Logic 9.

Hi Krryss

I understand man. No worries. I am very specific on this type of issues and I always backup my setup so I can go back to it just incase things dont turn out like planned. It happens to everyone. Like you said you should really check these forums before you update anything.

But from experience I can say that you issue sounds more like a plug-in issue which maybe failing verification therefore crashing the projects.

What you could do is start your Logic Pro 9.1.2 with a default layout. If it crashes then this proves my point.

Good Luck!
