Safari history on iPad - I do not want it deleted so fast.

I am confused about HOW LONG iPad safari stores history.. I am well versed on how to delete it.. Unlike others, I do NOT want it to go away.

At least not as fast as it does. I can check history, and sometimes it has 2-3 days back, sometimes more.

It brings up issues in my life when I have to explain why I may have deleted history.. I have no reason to delete history, and would prefer say 30 days worth..

Any explanations or ideas?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions.

There does not seem to be a way to control history deletions...your control is all or nothing. I am not sure what you are saying about deletion timing. My iPad Safari has history stored from the first time I used Safari.

Are you sure it is deleting, or do you have so much storage in use it is forcibly making room?

I can't find any way of deleting part of the browsing history in safari. It is possible to stop safari recording history by going to Settings | Safari | Private Browsing. If you don't want a record of a site you visited appearing in your history, turn Private Browsing on before visiting the site.

and JoslinsROCK!!! is still interesetd 3 years later because?
